Moov Parcel is a UK-based shipping provider, working with small to large enterprises seeking to oursource their shipping solutions to a business that provides cheaper rates through their partnerships with couriers and helps deal with day to day courier enquiries, allowing businesses to free up resources for their own processes.
Looking to make an impact in the industry with a cutting edge brand design, the Moov Parcel project was assigned to me and other designers while working at Cloud9 Fulfilment. We were challenged with updating Moov Parcel’s brand identity to a cyber style and create a website designed to inform users of Moov Parcel’s revolutionary service and software as well as craft a Google Ads campaign to push promoted search results for users looking for shipping solutions. After establishing the brief, taking note of the client’s need for a futuristic technical feel, we began to work on capturing this vision.
Building upon the Webflow framework allowing us more flexibility with the design, we began creating each page paying attention to the various breakpoints for a wide variety of devices. We divided the pages among myself and another designer, following a process of competitor analysis, creating a rough page proposal based on the research, gathering feedback from our clients, before creating a more realised mock up, working on copy creation and then supplying this to the developer to ensure a smooth development with little to no amendments. Eventially, responsibility of the website had been fully given to me due to changing team members and I have been tasked with creating many of the pages independently while communicating with stakeholders for approvals. Now Moov Parcel enjoys a year of success with a brand identity it can be proud of and a voice in the industry.
At first, the website was created across the team with a focus on informing the user about Moov Parcel and providing call to actions, prompting users to interact with and express interest in working with Moov Parcel. Once responsibility shifted to me, then I took it upon myself to revisit the pages created and improve content based on improved knowledge and experience. The process involves research for the industry and each page, looking at competitors who set the standard and what we can learn from them as well as what could make us stand out.
I was given the opportunity to learn Webflow during this project, which has given me the chance to help further optimise the web creation process and streamline a lot of the styles within the Moov Parcel website. Towards the end of the initial project, I took it upon myself to optimise the site based on Google Lighthouse feedback, resulting in the website runs smoother while complying with Google’s checklist for higher ranks in Google searches. The way that Webflow works is you can define styles for each element, assigning styles for body copy, titles, varying levels of headers and whole sections with columns and rows for content. I took it upon myself to improve the styling system from the previous develop and develop a more user friendly, robust style naming system which allows for beginners as well as advanced users to drop into Webflow and identify sections easier as well as change content should I need to handover.
Alongside this, I helped shape the branding for documents, business cards, email signatures and other internal/customer facing resources. To this day, Moov Parcel continues to evolve in the industry with a strong futuristic look that stands out from the rest of the competition of shipping providers. Moov Parcel has celebrated a year of success within the industry with a strong brand and effecient website that allows them to continue the rise in success.
