Grow Root Pouch is a UK business that sell Root Pouch’s industry renowned eco-friendly fabric pots made from 100% recycled materials. They aim to sell Root Pouch’s revolutionary fabric pots across the UK as well as educate users on the incredible story of Root Pouch’s mission to make the world a greener sustainable place.
While working at Cloud9 Fulfilment, the project I led was to create a brand identity and eCommerce website for Grow Root Pouch, providing a platform for users to buy Root Pouch’s fabric plant pots as well as teach and inform users on the benefits of sustainable gardening and the Root Pouch mission.
Working within a tight deadline, the website was created on Shopify’s framework, fully developed with pages, payment system, ilustrations to legal policies, meta titles and meta descriptions. Efforts were delegated to other designers within Cloud9 Fulfilment to assist in production, with illustrations and images being retouched as well as communicating across the world with Root Pouch (based in Oregon, USA) and another partner of Root Pouch based in Japan. Thanks to my efforts with SEO, the website not only attracts customers but also members of the sustainability industry looking to work with Root Pouch.
Working with the client and leading the project with assistance from designers, I created the entire website and assets to offer both an introspective look into Root Pouch as a company and their inovative product alongside the capabaility to sell these products from their fulfilment warehouse. With my research, I learned that eCommerce stores aimed at selling their wares aim to tailor a lot of their content towards navigating the user to the shop front. With this in mind, a lot of content offers signs of taking the user to the products immediately, as well as previews of products displayed at the front with other information available lower on the page. A visitor of Grow Root Pouch is looking to buy fabric plant pots.
The Grow Root Pouch About Me page allowed me to explore Root Pouch’s mission, giving me the oportunity to communicate with the senior leaders directly and gather resources to help flesh this page out. I thought about the mission, what Root Pouch were looking to promote and what makes them special, then created the copy, created playful illustrations to help visualise their USPs and made the page very easy to navigate from top to bottom for those interested in the story.
I have begun developing the blog as a means to put out useful informative posts related to all sorts of seasonal topics. This is hugely beneficial for SEO as new keywords are added to the site allowing for Google to scan over, a regular generation of blog posts gives users more chance to interact with the website and provide helpful visiting data that can be used to help provide improvements to function and design.
To this date, Grow Root Pouch continues to sell a number of products and attracting eco focused customers looking to wholesale Root Pouch on various eco networks. To help market the website, I was tasked with setting up a Google Ads campaign utilising a mix of images, videos and descriptions to advertise Grow Root Pouch across the Google platforms (Gmail, YouTube, Google Search).
